We are highly experienced in each individual cruise’s requirements and can deliver a speedy turnaround on results.
We work closely with the world’s leading cruise lines and recruiters. We have close links with many of the pre employment medical examination (PEME) teams and know exactly what is required by each cruise line for successful clearance for working at sea.

We are an approved Cruise Line medical centre and can provide Pre-Employment Medical Examinations (PEME) required by all leading cruise lines. Our location in London’s Harley Street medical district is easily accessible from all main train stations and the US Embassy.
Undergoing a Cruise Medical is necessary for all new staff or rehires working as seafarers on a cruise ship, from Activity & Entertainment Staff, Medical Team Members, the Housekeeping & Hospitality Crew to the Deck & Engineering Departments.
Cruise Line Medicals is run by Dr Adam Hazell, a highly experienced private GP, who is supported by his Practice Manager Alison Lewin. Between them, they have over 15 years’ experience in providing Pre-Employment Medical Examinations for all leading cruise ship lines.
Cruise Line Medicals is part of The Tyburn, a highly personalised, fully comprehensive private GP service situated in central London’s medical heartland. Based at the London Heart Centre, we have access to a comprehensive range of diagnostic tests.

Our Cruise Line Medicals are competitively priced and cost from £350, depending on the cruise line medical requirements. This includes all tests and examinations. It doesn’t cover travel vaccinations, but we are able to provide them for you. Get in touch in advance of your appointment and we can advise you whether travel vaccinations are required and how much we charge.
+ WHAT VACCINATIONS CAN YOU PROVIDE?
For an extra cost, we can provide a comprehensive range of childhood and travel vaccinations, including MMR, Tetanus and Yellow Fever. Call us on 020 4530 7040 to find out which ones you require during your contract.

+ IS A CRUISE SHIP PEME NECESSARY?
A Cruise Line Medical is usually required before you begin work on a cruise ship in any capacity or are rehired, as certificates typically last two years. Conditions vary between different cruise lines, but we have many years’ experience in this field and are able to fulfil all the necessary requirements.
+ DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING TO MY APPOINTMENT?
Passport or photo ID
Immunisations certificates
Medical letters covering current medication or medical conditions
Your glasses, if needed, as you will have to remove contact lenses if worn for an eye test. We will need to test your eyesight both with and without visual aids (glasses or contact lenses)
+ WHEN WILL I GET MY RESULTS?
If your results are normal, then we can offer a quick and efficient turnaround and you can expect your results within 24 and 48 hours of your appointment. In some cases, though, we have to request more information from your GP or further blood tests.
When the medical report results are fully complete, we email the medical report to you and to your nominated contact at the cruise line. If agreed, we also send to your recruiter/hirer, too.

Located just off Harley Street, our clinic is easy to get to from all the major train stations in London. Our nearest Tube station is Regent’s Park and we are a ten-minute walk from Oxford Street Tube station. If you are paying a visit to the US Embassy, we are approximately 40 minutes away (take the Victoria Underground Line from Vauxhall to Oxford Circus).
